International Activities: Hosted and made all arrangements for visits to Natchez, Mississippi, by the French Ambassador to the United States, French ships on many occasions, Austrian dignitaries on cultural exchange sponsored by the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and many other members of the foreign diplomatic corps. 

Responsible for having the Southern Governors’ Conference locate its meeting in Natchez.
